Dr. Patil’s method and our professionals’ training

He introduced his medical professionals to the use of the piercing gun after investigating which manufacturer was producing the highest quality device. In selecting the Swiss/UK/USA brand, it was approved by the International Health Authority and is now in sole use here at the Bangalore Piercing Center.

Even though the piercing has been around for hundreds of years, the danger of infection has more recently increased. In view of this development Dr. Patil has gone to great lengths by training our medical professionals in how to use the piercing gun with accuracy and precision, to forestall pain and and prevent infection.

Our medical jewelry is another item that Dr. Patil considered carefully. These pieces are actually surgical steel covered with 24-karat gold, which means the metals are free of impurities and will not harm the surgical area.

Our Procedure

During the procedure, your specialist will be wearing single-use, disposable, gloves and taking as much precaution as would be exercised for a full-blown surgery. Sterile and antiseptic conditions are required for this procedure and our Standard of Care has resulted in a perfect record with our patients.

The procedures are similar regardless of the area:

• The surface must be cleaned with a disinfectant/antiseptic.
• The place where the piercing will be located will be marked with an antiseptic medical marker.
• The piercing is performed quickly, cleanly and with a minimum of discomfort.
• The sterile medical jewelry is inserted at the same time as the area is pierced, making it a quick one-step operation.

Going home

Before you are ready to leave after the procedure, you will be provided with complete aftercare instructions. It is important that you follow these instructions to the letter and not skip any part of them.

Your rapid recovery will not occur if you fail to care for the surgery area as instructed. It will be worth your time to do it.

Then, if you’ve done everything you were instructed to do, if there are any problems your doctor will be immediately available to you. It would, however, be a rare occasion when you would need to see the doctor again.
